Pupil Premium (PP)
At Gildredge House, our vision is to provide all students with a value-based education, both inside and outside of the classroom. We have the highest aspirations for our students, and these aspire values of Ambition, Support, Perseverance, Integrity, Reflection and Empathy are at the core of everything we do to support our students to succeed and become valuable members of their communities.
What is the Pupil Premium Grant?
The Pupil Premium Grant is funding to improve the educational outcomes for disadvantaged students in state-funded schools in England.
The grant also provides support for students with parents in the regular armed forces, referred to as service pupil premium (SSP).
Pupil premium funding is allocated to eligible schools based on the number of:
- Students who are recorded as eligible for free school meals, or have been recorded as eligible in the past 6 years.
- Students previously looked after by a local authority or other state care, including students adopted from state care or equivalent from outside England and Wales
Pupil premium is not a personal budget for individual students.
For the 2024/2025 academic year, the allocated pupil premium grant is £300,000
(Notes: *small print about in year variation due to CLA PEP arrangements, students leaving and joining and the grant being central and not used as a personal budget)
