Welcome from the Head of Secondary

I am delighted to be Head of Secondary at Gildredge House school and I feel fortunate to be able to work each day with expectational students and staff. I am excited to be able to lead the secondary phase in the next chapter of its journey towards excellence.

We are proud of our diverse school which has a key role to play in our local community. We want all our students to show respect and empathy and “Give Back” to the community we serve through our Service Learning and Personal Development curriculum.

We have high expectations of each other and expect our students to work hard and behave well both inside and outside of the classroom, wearing their uniform with pride. Our values of Ambition, Support, Perseverance, Integrity, Reflection and Empathy are at the core of everything we do.

We want our students to achieve the best outcomes they can, so that they are both equipped for life in the 21st century and have great careers in whatever they choose. We want our students to foster a love of learning that they carry with them always.

I am committed to maintaining the core values that have been established. However, I also recognise the importance of listening to our community and evolving the Secondary phase in response to your needs and aspirations. Your input and feedback are invaluable to us, and I am dedicated to fostering a culture of open communication.

I am excited about the journey ahead and the wonderful opportunities we have to shape the future of our students together. I look forward to working collaboratively with you to ensure the success and well-being of every student at our school.
