Reception Open Events

We are delighted that you are considering Gildredge House for your child and we welcome you to come and tour the school, meet the staff and immerse yourself in the Gildredge House experience. 

Gildredge House is a school for the local community; we have high expectations of behaviour and hard work and believe, especially in these challenging times, it is important to be resilient in the face of difficult circumstances. 

Below is the information about our Reception Open Events still available for intake in September 2026: - 

For tours, on arrival, please make your way to main Reception and sign in. You will be greeted by our Head of School, Mrs Punter-Bruce and taken on a tour of the school. You will have the opportunity to ask as many questions as you wish, at the same time as seeing our learning in action. This is the perfect opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the Gildredge House experience and decide if this is the best place for your child.

We are also offering a handful of lucky children the opportunity to have a taster session and sample one of our classes. On Thursday 8th January 2026 our EYFS specialist teachers will lead a session your child could typically expect to experience during their journey at Gildredge House. These spaces are strictly limited to children who have not made an application already and are still deciding what school suits them best. In addition, due to limited space, the event is restricted to one child and one accompanying adult. Therefore, we would not be able to accommodate siblings on this occasion, unless they are twins.
